Randall once again tells us that he is a child stuck in a adult's body. It's hardly news at this point.
More grievous is the final panel – I know and you know and everyone else knows that the final two lines of dialogue completely ruin the joke. I assume Randall knows as well, but he decided to put them in anyway. Maybe one day he will explain why.
Catching up with the past month's xkcd's, and the various snarky commentaries pursuant thereto. Regarding 905, it's a retread of the fairly well-known #150 "Grownups" -- where someone realizes that there is nothing stopping them from filling an apartment with colored balls from a children's ball pool -- and the comparison between xkcd then and now is really quite depressing in how it highlights the soullessness of today's xkcd. #150 presents a delightful little premise, makes effective use of color, contains a romantic subtext ... #905 is an idiot with a drill.
ReplyDeleteAlso, leveling a house with a drill is ... somewhat implausible.
